4 People I Admire Most
September 11, 2026

There are four people whose ideas have shaped how I think about myself, my work, and the kind of person I am trying to become.
Alfred Adler
Individuality.
His work changed the way I understood myself.
Individual psychology gave me ideas I could actually use: the separation of tasks, teleology, and the courage to choose who I am becoming.
At one point in my life, those ideas helped change me. I believe studying Adler more deeply and living the principles he proposed could become an important part of the person I choose to be.

Earl Nightingale
Attitude.
The Strangest Secret still feels new every time I hear it.
I have listened to it more times than I can count. Somehow, it still motivates me as if it were the first time.
The idea is simple but decisive: set a goal, make a plan, and take responsibility for the direction of your life. That matters to me because I want to be in control of my path, not a passenger in it.

Jordan Peterson
Meaning.
I admire the confidence and clarity with which he speaks.
What stays with me most, though, is his emphasis on meaning: taking responsibility, accepting challenge, and learning to navigate the tension between order and chaos.
Those ideas remind me that a meaningful life is something you build through what you are willing to carry.

Sam Ovens
Simplicity.
Of these four, Sam is the person I admire most.
He is the clearest picture of the grown-up version of myself I imagine.
I admire his simplicity, attention to detail, lifestyle, routine, intelligence, and intentionality. He speaks from ideas he has genuinely thought through, turns real experience into meaning, and lives deliberately. That is what inspires me.
