Overview

A calm, Naira-first spending companion: dashboard, searchable transaction log, isolated ledgers, and Supabase synchronization you can pick up on any device.

Most people do not fail at budgeting because they lack discipline. They fail because the truth of their spending is scattered, late, or embarrassing to reconstruct. Spend NG is built around a simple promise: open the app, see today and this month at a glance, then drill into categories and a running log when you need proof, not guilt.

The experience is split between a dashboard you glance at and a log you work in: filter by date, correct mistakes, and keep categories and payment methods consistent so the picture stays honest over time. Sign-in is built for real life: the same account on phone, tablet, or desktop.

What it covers

  • Built for Nigerian Naira as the default currency, with the fields people actually use: date, category, description, amount, payment method, and notes.
  • Privacy and trust are first-class: each person’s ledger stays isolated from everyone else’s.
  • Aimed at daily use: fast entry, fast edits, and visuals that reward you for staying current.

What I owned

  • Owned the product end to end: dashboard, searchable log, isolated ledgers, and Supabase sync.
  • Designed the flows so editing and deleting are as easy as adding.
  • Connected the interface to a secure cloud backend so the story of your spending is not trapped on one device.

Outcomes

  • Built the dashboard, searchable transaction log, isolated ledgers, and Supabase synchronization as a complete personal finance product.
  • You always see only your own household data, with no accidental cross-visibility between accounts.
  • Charts answer where the money went and how this month compares.
  • Designed so you can add or fix a line item in a few seconds, because friction is what kills expense habits.
